About Ms. vian
Hello Poynette Pumas!
My name is Bridget Vian. During the 2014-2015 school year I will be your 4th grade and 6th - 8th grades art teacher. Teaching has always been my dream, so I am very excited to share my enthusiasm for art with you all this year!
I grew up south of Poynette in DeForest/Windsor. I took all the art classes possible while in grade school and then moved on to UW-Madison. I studied Studio Art with an emphasis in art metals and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I got to take many exciting classes including drawing, painting, 3-D design, printmaking, altered books and bookmaking, ceramics, and of course numerous art metals classes.
Outside of school, I stay busy sewing, making jewelry, searching for project inspiration, reading, traveling, playing games, baking, playing flute (and sometime string bass) in the WI Army National Guard Band, and running. I recently completed my first half-marathon! I enjoy taking my dog, Chloe, on training runs with me. When we get home, we are greeted by my talkative cats; Zoey, Jody, and Zeke.
